Hi There - Welcome to TheITGourmet - I'm Jonathan. By day, I'm a Director of Technology - I've been in the consulting industry since graduating from college. However, one of the things that I started doing when I was still in high school was cooking. It all started when my mother decided to go back to work.
My cooking journey began when my mother would leave out pre-made dishes to be heated so dinner was ready when my parents got home from work. Well, that progressed to recipes and ingredients being left for me to help prepare the meals. And finally, this quickly graduated to me planning and cooking the weekday meals (going out on the weekend was my treat for cooking during the week).
After college and getting married, I have been able to share my love of cooking with my wife in our kitchen. We have also been able to take our cooking internationally, where we have taken cooking lessons in France and Italy - our focus has been on high quality local ingredients and learning to cook and make recipes with the locals.
